Technical Support

Hytec provides toll-free technical support to help your field service technician determine if a board is defective before sending it to Hytec, or upon receiving a repaired board from Hytec that appears to not be working.  With today’s complex digital equipment, many symptoms may point to a board being defective, while the problem may actually be elsewhere in the machine, or may simply be a software issue.  Hytec can save you repeated service calls.  Our technical support line is open from 8am – 6pm EST and can be reached at 888-883-2001.

Please note: Technical assistance is provided as a courtesy to our customers, and does not replace the need for your own qualified technician to diagnose the machine. Hytec is not responsible for boards ordered that do not resolve all of the problems.

Warranty & Barcode Tracking

Hytec stands behind all of our work by providing a 1 year warranty on all circuit boards, and a 90-day warranty on mechanical assemblies.  Hytec serializes each board and applies a bar-code label to the board for a complete tracking of repair history.  You can look up a board’s history by entering the part number and serial number found on the board on our website under Account and Warranty Lookup.

Flat Rate Repair Pricing

Hytec’s catalog can be viewed online and provides flat rate pricing for each item we support.  If Hytec determines a board to be No Problem Found (NPF) after initial testing, a reduced test fee is charged.

Website

Hytec has a real time website where you can look up parts in the catalog, create a packing slip for repair, order boards for advance exchange or purchase, and check status of any orders in process. Our website also links directly to UPS, allowing you to track your packages quickly and easily.  You can even chat online with a Hytec Account Representative through our Live Chat feature.

Email Alerts

Hytec emails you an order confirmation upon receipt of each order, and a shipping confirmation when each item ships from our facility. The shipping confirmation immediately provides you with a tracking number for the package.

OEM Warranty Processing

Hytec is authorized to repair and process factory warranty claims for Canon USA, Canon Canada, Electronics for Imaging, EFI Electronics Service Tracker, and Toshiba America Business Solutions.  This benefit makes the warranty process very efficient, saving you time and money.
