The Advance Exchange Program is our most popular service program, and is your fastest service alternative, providing you the ability to receive a repaired circuit board from Hytec the next business day. Repaired boards can be shipped to your location, or directly to your service technician in the field. Hytec tries to make this program very easy to use. If your company is not able to return defective cores on time as required by this program, Hytec’s Repair & Return service, or Board Bank options will be better programs for you.
The core return process is simple. When you receive the repaired board you ordered, it will come with a reusable box that precisely fits that board, a prepaid RS shipping label, a repair tag, and complete instructions. (We recommend that you always keep a copy of the RS tracking numbers for your shipping records.)
The core that you return to us must be a repairable board. It will not be accepted if it cannot be repaired for future use in the exchange program. Some reasons that a core may not be repairable include (but are not limited to): board is cracked, broken, or burnt; liquid spill or corrosion on board; parts are missing or cannot be obtained to repair board, etc. Hytec will inspect defective cores no later than ten days after receipt at Hytec. You will be notified in the event your core board is unrepairable.

More Program Details:
- Pre-repaired boards in Hytec’s inventory are shipped the same day. Hytec can receive orders up to 6:00 pm EST.
- Most other boards that are not pre-repaired in our inventory are still shipped the same day. Hytec can receive these orders up to 4:30pm EST. Because of the complexity of some repairs and set up time required, a small percentage of these boards will not ship until the next business day. Your customer service representative will inform you of these situations.
- Orders placed after these cutoff times will be processed the next business day.
- If you misplace the RS shipping label, simply call your Hytec customer service representative to have it replaced.
- You can check on the core due date at any time by logging into Hytec’s website at www.hytecrepair.com and viewing your Open Exchange Report under the Customer Reports heading.
- Advance Exchange boards that have been opened or used may not be returned for a refund.
- Unopened boards still sealed may be returned for a credit, but a restock fee will apply.
- No credits will be issued if a board being returned is not received back at Hytec within the normal 20-day core return period.
- Advance Exchange cores that are not returned in 20 days will be charged at the manufacturer’s dealer cost, as Hytec will need to replenish its inventory for the integrity of this program. If circumstances occur that prohibit the return of your defective core by the due date, please contact your customer service representative. As a service partner, Hytec will work with all of our customers with extenuating circumstances.
- If you do not wish to set up credit terms or provide a credit card number to Hytec, you can order boards on our exchange program as a Full Price Exchange customer. You will be charged the full purchase price of the board when the order is placed, and once our core is received, you will receive a credit back for the additional amount. Your final cost for the exchange will be the same, but the credit will take approximately 2 weeks to be processed once we receive your core.
